my illustration Friday art submission- Power- this art was inspired by my extraordinary godfather who at the age of 53 managed to climbed the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro of Africa way back three years then. That was amazing will power of my Dad.

Today i took a challenge for myself as an artist. First is to finish a painting in one day setting. As am not  usually good at it yet..i suppose. Secondly..this is my very first oil painting of animals. 

Well,my little buddy Cody is the perfect model for this piece. And yes!! (: Happy to say i made it all!

Today in a quiet sunny noon time whilst i was just about to start doodling on my new art journal book. A little birdy-birdy friend drops by in my room for a quick visit. I was so delighted by her/his presence and was inspired that i ended up this illustration.

A follow up digital art work in my experiments & discovery of  the Wacom drawing pen tablet.

This time working on adobe illustrator. In comparison to Photoshop work i did yesterday. I think it's more easy & smooth flowing work for me in vector rendering. Or perhaps just need more getting used to & lots of practice with this gadget. Though i am not dumping my good old comp mouse of course. Just catching up in this digi world of art expression.  It's never to late to experiment and try new things i supposed. Am a good old fashioned fan for comp mouse when doing digital rendering works. Thus my first work done in wacom pen/drawing tablet. 

Thanks to my bro for lending me this super cool gadget. Sure there will be more fun work to do with this.

getting back and something Dutch

It's been a while since i work on my paintings. I have had some projects that's left unfinished..not new to me. :D Well for the busy week that has ended, i am glad to finish one of those oil paintings.  It's from my Dutch holidays, a visit at Prinsenhof in Delft with godfather way back couple years ago. I have had wonderful memories with it- especially the ones when godfather in his own special amusing quirky ways.. (:  did re-enact how the Noble Prince Willem van Oranje was being killed right @ the actual spot of the stairway of his residence. It's nowadays houses the Municipal museum. The old masterpiece paintings are totally grand and amazing. Wonderful memories i so much cherish.And it's always worthwhile to be getting back to painting again.

This i an entry i made for Illustration Friday's topic ~ "whisper" . This time working on Adobe illustrator since i haven't been doing arty stuff on digital works. The best thing i look forward to the weekend is being at H O M E... am a home-buddy. :)

Bonding with family, cooking/baking, playtime with my pooch Cody,  but most of the time @ my room/ studio tinkering on some art crafts /projects, working on some doodles, stitching/sewing, and above all long naps! Ahhh..that is what i call home.

a little friends visit

I just had a little friend's visit today whilst i was playing with my pup Cody. It's an orange color butterfly came in the window of my bedroom. This is my first time to see a different color one. Like I use to see brown or white in my room to stay for a while.

i take it from grandma

When i was a lil' girl my late grandmother always reminds me that every woman should at least know how to do some simple sewing. She encourages me to learn the art of it. I could never be more than grateful enough for that gift she shared to me up to now. 

I have had a wonderful fun busy weekend hand sewing these art crafts.
