one tough cookie

Taking my leave off for work today...yeepppeey! It's my mama's birthday! :-)
Didn't tell her ahead of time about it.  Soon as she found out i am home for her birthday she was glad i take my day off at work... As she always know i am this workaholic child of her. Mama's becoming pretty much emotionally sensitive as she gets older. Peace ma! :-) 

The evening comes and we had a simple gathering for her B-day. She was being serenade with songs from her friends from the church org. I am happy enough to see how overwhelmed she was on her birthday.

 
The past couple of years has been tough times for her. The loss of a better-half  then follows the death of his two brothers in just a matter of  year after. But she keeps a strong heart despite everything.

If i was on her shoe..it would probably be the hardest battle to deal with. I can still see the pain in her eyes but she keeps a steady swing with life's challenges. She's one of the most remarkable woman i know. I just hope & pray God grant her more strength.

She is definitely one tough cookie... Happy Birthday MaMa!

Welcoming May...

 I started it with a delightful charm... cheers to these lovely flowers i bought on an early morning after a long day at work. Here comes the month of May... springtime for the other half of the globe. Summer time and the traditional festivity of Flores the Mayo "Flowers of May" for us here in my mother land.

This is a month where a lot of memories dearly holds to me..
Mama will celebrate her 52nd birthday this 5th..
Everyone will celebrating Mother's Day on the 2nd Sunday of May..

Counting back two years ago.. at the 26th of May I lost one special man in my life..and that is my PaPa...He passed away while on comatose from a tragic accident and eventually gave up the fight after three days.  

This would be a bittersweet time for me to go through as i would look back those sad memories of May.

But i shall take each day with a strong heart... 

Yesterday i was able to speak with my man..Today I got Dad's message... I am grateful enough for all these.
It reminds me that life no matter how bittersweet, there will still be wonderful moments for you to appreciate.

Making the most out of  the moments...still sick but i am feeling all the vibes for my creative juices...strange! Just wanted to let loose of myself free like a bird. :-)

Wheeeppe yeyyyy!! weekend!! :-)  it rained last night and i had a long long comfy sleep. And that is mainly because... rain outside makes me cold & feeling so cozy in bed and  before that i was able to speak with my darling. x  Heaven knows the smile i wear in my heart.

I sleep like a log.. and woke up in the middle of the dawn. S u n n y Sunday is here! oh how fast days come by... Not feeling well today..runny nose & dizzy. I turn down plans to go out with friends.. lazy & a bit sickly.. but home sweet home lovin! On my comfort zone again.. :-)

If it was rainy Saturday.. Oh well am still glad it rained even if a day! now it's  
So sunny Sunday!! :-)

First -It's raining! :-) in the middle of dawn and when everyone is  still in their own dreamland.  Glad it rains as it has been total hot summer days here and warm nights. The vampire in me again alone and awake. But hey hooo!! Monday off for work today! I choose to..lol 

Second- to keep me company..some music and a cup of hot mint green tea doubled up with another cup of coffee with mint flavor as it says on the label.. lol Tried it first..as i was curious if it's really mint taste on a coffee.  Not close to my expectation but oh well not that bad anyway. :-) 

Third- A word from my adoring man across the globe. :-) Oh how i miss him. The connection over the web seems awful but the least I am so thankful for, is that we were able to speak for a bit of time.  I missed his message yesterday and was hoping he gets in touch again even  if he was on work travels. The thing that meant the most is he took a long way for me. He has to borrow a friends machine just to be able to keep in touch with me. Those thoughtful gestures just so melts my heart. I have nothing to complain now even if out talk was cut off short. What matters most is we were able to speak even for a while and above all i know he is safe. I thank God for that. Knowing he is having fun with work even if it means hard work for him. Am just as proud of him. Hon..you make me smile..love you always my Aj...xxx

Everyday..i think it just takes time for us to sit down, see  wonder things that happen at every moment o f  our days And then on, learn to appreciate and smile for it. Those may just be 1-2 -3 little things ..but isn't  that makes life wonderful? It's priceless moments... How about you..what makes you smile today?

Weekend comes along...
This time i got myself all day glued up on my PC doing another arty stuff. I just get along with the vibes and not knowing i was as productive that day! whaalllaaa! :-)  It was just total fun as I indulged myself to my very own world. Right in my comfort zone...let loose of my very own self and have fun!

Ahhh..what a great time it was! Well thanks to these gadgets of mine.. (my very old PC, adobe photoshop & my canon digital cam) expressing art on this age has been a lot more worthwhile with its aid. :-)

My start of the week was fantastic! :-)
Just have had a quick break from the countryside..time at the beach during the weekend. Reconnecting with old friends & family relatives, old places with so many memories that i cherish during childhood days.

And Monday, to breakaway from work.. And yes, finally I've been looking forward too. Japanese food tripping with my close friend Gee with her Japanese friend Aya.

My first time for Japanese cuisine... :-) exciting!!!

Above all It was a great break for me & my good friends. Arigato..gambati kudasai! :-)
